Dr. Jingbin Wang Position: Chairman Dr. Jingbin Wang's position as Executive Director of China Nonferrous Metals Resource Geological Survey began in 2003. He has held the title of Vice-President of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association since 2008. He is a leader in the non-ferrous metals industry in China with expertise in mineral exploration and mining amassed over his 24 years of experience. He has been granted the title of National Youth Expert for Outstanding Contribution in China in recognition of his success in prospecting results and scientific research. In addition, he is the Chief Scientist of National 973 Program. Dr. Wang has been President of the Beijing Institute of Geology for Mineral Resources since 2002. Dr. Jingbin Wang is currently President of Sinotex Mineral Exploration Co. Ltd.
Harold J. Cabrita Position: Director Harold J. Cabrita, of Bedford, Nova Scotia, has 14 years experience at the board level and senior positions in the resource industry. From 1993 to 2006, Mr. Cabrita served in various capacities, including Purchasing Advisor for Milchem Oil Libya Company, Advisor to former Saudi Arabian Ambassador, and Business Development & Trade Director for Macron Petroleum Limited. He founded and operates Maverick Energy & Resources Ltd., a consulting company for international negotiations and trading programs; and President and Chief Operating Officer of Summachem, Inc., a private company focusing on environmental fuel technologies. Mr. Cabrita is the founding director of Coxheath Resources Ltd, a private junior exploration company, and currently serves as President & CEO. Mr. Cabrita graduated in 1986 from Cape Breton University in Business Technology. Mr. Cabrita also serves on the board of the Mining Association of Nova Scotia.
Ron Goguen Sr. Position: Director Ron Goguen Sr. purchased his first exploration drilling company, Ideal Drilling, for which he served as President and Chief Executive Officer until 2000. In 1981, he added a second exploration drilling company and increased sales and net income significantly. Those companies combined later became Major Drilling Group International Inc., and is one of the largest mineral drilling companies in the world with 33 operations in 15 countries. Major Drilling has traded on the TSX Exchange (the then, Toronto Stock Exchange) since March 1995. Mr. Goguen has served as the President of Royal Oakes Estates Inc. and Royal Oakes Golf & Country Club Inc. since 2000. Mr. Goguen is a member of the board of directors of Northeast Bancorp (NBN:AMEX) and Saratoga Capital Management. In 1995 he was named Atlantic Canada's Entrepreneur of the year and won an award for Entrepreneur of the year in Service Division.
Ron Johnston Position: Director Ronald Johnston, Director, has over 25 years in the investment industry. He was Vice President and Registered Representative of C.M. Oliver & Company Limited from 1994 to 1999 (and its successor Canaccord Capital Corporation) and held the same positions with Leede Financial Markets Inc. from 1999 to 2002 (formerly Rogers & Partners Securities Inc.). He was a director of CanBaikal Resources Inc. from 2001 to 2002 and was Vice-President, Corporate Development, of Rally Energy Corp., a junior oil and gas company in Calgary, from 2002 to 2004 where he identified and negotiated both domestic and international business opportunities. Since 2004 Mr. Johnston has been a director and Chief Executive Officer of Expander Energy Inc., a Calgary private alternative energy company. Mr. Johnston has sat on the board of directors of several public companies. Mr. Johnston received his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree from the University of Manitoba in 1975.
Andrew Lee Smith Position: Director Mr. Smith is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Canaco Resource Inc. (TSXV:CAN) and a Director and Co-Founder of True North Gems (TSXV:TGX). Mr. Smith has over 20 years of experience in exploring, developing and operating North American base and precious metal mining and gem projects. While working with Aurizon Mines Ltd., between 1985 and 1998, Mr. Smith rose from a supervisory role to becoming the Vice-President of exploration. He was awarded the '1994 Mining Entrepreneur of the Year Award' from the Quebec Prospector's Association for his work overseeing the exploration and development of the Beaufor Gold Project and also received in 2009 a 'Distinguished Alumni' Award from the University of Waterloo, Faculty of Science. Mr. Smith has considerable expertise derived from his experience in exploration, acquisitions, joint ventures and mine development. Mr. Smith holds a BSc and is a professional geologist as well as a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
Nianqing Zeng Position: Director Mr. Nianqing Zeng has over 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur with businesses operating in Canada, the United States and China. Currently he serves as director and CEO of China Mining of Canada Corp., director of both the China Metallurgical Corp. and Sino Minerals Corp., and is executive director of the China Mining Association of Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Polymer Science from Chengdu University of Science and Technology. Mr. Zeng has been involved in the mining industry for many years serving as a mining investment consultant in China and Canada. He has been a featured speaker at many mining conferences, including the annual convention of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
